「 Work No. 1: Eight Treasures Clasp Hetian Jade Peace Pendant 」

Originating in the late Ming Dynasty, the “unadorned” white jade pendant—carved without any patterns—derives its name from the homophone “ping’an wushi” (meaning “peace and no mishaps”), symbolizing peace and good health.
This peace pendant features a subtle raised line along its slightly thin edge. This design not only adds a sense of rhythm but also implies the meaning of a moat that wards off evil spirits and misfortunes.
The gold clasp is made of 18K yellow gold and white gold joined together on two sides, which can be matched with a yellow gold chain and a silver (or gold) chain respectively. It is carved with bas-relief Eight Treasures (Hidden Eight Immortals) patterns. The intricate and dense patterns balance the simplicity of the jade pendant and further enrich the beautiful implications of this small jade piece, truly worthy of the name “Work No. 1”.
