WJIE is an original jewelry brand grounded in Chinese cultural heritage and attuned to contemporary life. Drawing inspiration from traditional jade materials and time-honored motifs, we reinterpret them through the lens of modern aesthetics and wearability—transforming enduring elements into restrained, elegant forms for today.

Our pieces do not seek attention through extravagance or novelty. Instead, WJIE values the quiet intimacy between jewelry and wearer. We believe the most moving designs are those that resonate softly—close to the body, close to one’s emotions—eventually becoming part of one’s presence and poise.

Designer

Wu Jie was born and raised in Shanghai. From an early age, she showed a deep love for painting and a
fascination with all things beautiful. Studying Chinese painting at university allowed her to delve into the heart of traditional Chinese culture and art, shaping her distinctive Eastern aesthetic.

After graduation, Wu Jie briefly worked as an art teacher and a corporate employee. In 2001, she became an independent designer and co-founded the fashion brand Joy Luck. In 2010, she joined DASONG Jewelry, where she led the design of a series of jewelry collections centered around traditional Chinese jade, including white jade and jadeite. In 2023, she officially launched her own jewelry brand, WJIE.

Rooted in Chinese culture and Eastern aesthetics, Wu Jie’s designs move fluidly between East and West,
tradition and modernity. She works with a diverse palette of materials—from jade and gemstones to gold and silver—reinterpreting traditional craftsmanship through contemporary design language, creating jewelry that embodies both Eastern charm and modern sensibility.
