「 Mochou Jade “Bud” Bracelet 」
A string of beads, with bone buds tucked in between—they look like a little cluster of irregular syllables stepping through the line of round beads. Asymmetrical and uneven, they somehow bring a unique rhythm to the piece.
Like the interplay of level and oblique tones in a line of poetry; like a sudden half-beat pause in a sentence, then gently picking up the thread again.
The shape of the bone buds is hand-sculpted by the designer, each piece polished manually. They feel smooth and tender yet carry a subtle bone-like texture. Linked one by one, they evoke the vertebrae fossils of ancient creatures—undulating with poise, bearing a quiet weight of their own.
The round bead attached right next to the first bone bud is slightly larger than the rest, crafted to snugly inlay the bone bud. This small inlay is understated, yet it serves as the linchpin that holds the entire bracelet together.
Then there is that bamboo-joint spacer bead, made of gold or silver—it acts like a neat concluding stroke in a painting, or a short hairpin pinned in a bun.
Not a single bead vies for the spotlight, yet when you pass by with it on your wrist, it always catches a second glance.
This is a bracelet with quite a distinctive “bone-like spirit”.
